Pre Market _ Snapshot _ 31-01-2022

 


US Stock indices ends on higher note as late Friday fillip wipes out unsavoury weekly stock indices losses as Nasdaq Composite Index ends at 3.1% higher whereas Dowjones gained 1.7% ,S&P 500 rose 2.4% and Smallcap cap Index Russel ended 1.9% up.


US Crude Futures continued its gainng streak for the seventh consequetive day as BRUNT settles at $90.03 after hitting $91.7.


Indian Stock Indices ended at flat counterintuitive to the early trading sessions opening as Nifty50 closed with minor loss of 0.05% whereas Sensex ended at 57200 with negative 0.13%. Action was seen in broader markets Among them Defence sectors such as Nifty IT & Nifty Pharma up by more than 1% each, similarly  smallcap50 & midcap50 gained more than 1% in the day.  


For the day watch out for some bullish momentum with some cautiousness amid Budget event as we expect some flickery volatility.

  Global markets traded mixed on the first trading day of the new calendar. European stocks traded higher but Asian names traded flat to negative on Monday. US markets remained shut on account of New year's holiday.    Indian stocks moved higher on Monday led by Metal/Infra stocks and heavyweights like RIL. Stocks started the day with some losses but reversed the course mid way to gain some strength on the back of strong economic data raising optimism on growth prospects of the Indian economy. Talks of vehicle scrappage policy being introduced come to the surface every few months, but unfortunately, each time policy itself doesn't come to the surface. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Highway and Transport, has stated that it can be expected to roll out within a month. He termed the policy "very important", let's find out why? Pre Market - Snapshot - 07-10-2021

  US stocks moved higher on the expectations that Congress may reach a deal to raise debt ceiling that may prevent government default. Dow moved 0.30% higher, S&P added 0.41%, Nasdaq closed 0.47% higher reversing cuts in excess of 1% at the open. The small cap Russell 2000 underperformed with cut of close to 0.60%.  US dollar index moved higher near 94.25, 10 year traded flat near 1.53%, Cboe Vix remained at elevated levels of 21.  Crude futures saw some givebacks on profit taking, Brent corrected near 81, WTI fell to 77.  Indian stocks ended down erasing strong opening session in late hour sell-off,  Sensex lost 0.93%, Nifty ended 0.90% down. Metal, Pharma and Realty stocks were the top losers for the day. Mid cap index lost close to 1.22% but small cap index outperformed with cuts of only 0.55%.  For the day watch for weekly options expiry related moves and some stabilization towards the end of the day.
